"Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World" is the thirteenth episode of The Play Nintendo Show on Play Nintendo's YouTube channel. This episode covers Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World.
Plot synopsis[edit]
Andrew Trego flies out of Izzy's warp pipe and introduces himself while being tangled in yarn. He introduces Izzy before he falls. Andrew asks Jenna, who walks into the room playing on her Nintendo 3DS, to help him up. When Jenna asks why he is covered in yarn, Andrew states he is knitting his own Poochy. Jenna tells Andrew he does not know how to knit, which Andrew admits, but he has been watching his aunt Myrtle knit through her show: "Myrtle's Mayhem". A clip of the show is shown in a desktop window, where Myrtle says her show will cause the viewer to laugh so hard, they will need stitches. Andrew calls Myrtle a natural host, and claims he taught her everything she knows, to which Myrtle says this happens in Andrew's dreams. Izzy then introduces the subject of the episode's top 3, being the three things they are most excited for in Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World. Izzy pretends to be pirate and asks the viewer if they are ready for the segment.
The number 3 pick is finding all the collectables in the game, and how they can unlock levels and unique Yoshi patterns. Andrew then wonders what his Yoshi pattern looks like, to which Izzy thinks it is himself repeated. The pattern is revealed to be what Izzy predicted, with Andrew wearing a hat and looking through a magnifying glass, which Andrew does not approve of.
The number 2 pick is the Poochy Dash stages, where if the player uses a Poochy amiibo, they can unlock a time trial mode. Andrew puts sunglasses over the Poochy amiibo and asks everyone to "do the Poochy", causing him and Jenna to stick their tongues out.
The number 1 pick is designing Yoshi's pattern in the craft Yoshi editor. Jenna and Andrew praise this feature before Andrew quickly creates his own Poochy by stuffing it with onions. Jenna is disgusted by Andrew's creation and tells him to get it out, prompting Andrew to throw it. A siren then appears out of a ? Block, meaning Reggie Fils-Aimé is calling. The Ask Izzy segment, "Izzy Has a Band!?", then plays. Following this, the Frizzy's Silly amiibo Theater segment, "Yoshi's Pudding Mystery" plays. After the segment, Andrew tells Frizzy he liked the twist at the end of the segment, to which Frizzy questions what "twist" he was talking about. Andrew, Izzy, and Jenna then encourage the viewer to not miss any episodes, to like and subscribe, and to visit the Play Nintendo website respectively. Frizzy asks everyone when they are going to dance, prompting the dance party to begin.
