"Nintendo Selects" is the fourteenth episode of The Play Nintendo Show on Play Nintendo's YouTube channel. This episode covers three games that are apart of the Nintendo Selects line, those being Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Kirby Triple Deluxe, and Mario & Luigi: Dream Team.
Plot synopsis[edit]
Andrew Trego and Jenna race through Izzy's warp pipe, with Andrew winning the race. Andrew introduces himself as "the fastest warp pipe warper in all the land" before Jenna and Izzy introduce themselves. Andrew tells the viewer they already know who Jenna and Izzy are and that it is time to get into the good stuff. When Jenna asks Andrew what the "good stuff" is, Andrew introduces the subject of the video: the Nintendo Selects rereleases. Izzy then announces the winner of the warp pipe race to be Andrew, who is on a podium wearing a ribbon with Jenna next to the podium holding a trophy. Jenna asks if this is necessary, to which Izzy states it is. Andrew grabs the trophy and thanks everyone who attended, even though the only other people in the room are Izzy and Jenna. Izzy then reveals the subject of the episode's top 3 to be the top 3 Nintendo Selects games. Izzy states he can not wait to see what they "choo-choose" as he rides a train flying next to Jupiter, with Frizzy inside the funnel.
The number 3 pick is Animal Crossing: New Leaf. When Andrew discusses the game's amiibo functionality, hands appear in front of him and Jenna holding Animal Crossing amiibo figures and cards, causing Andrew to say the hands from the second episode have returned.
The number 2 pick is Kirby Triple Deluxe. After the game is reviewed, Izzy tells the siblings to not forget the Hypernova ability. When Andrew asks what that is, Izzy begins inhaling him and Jenna, causing Andrew to shout he will remember Izzy.
The number 1 pick is Mario & Luigi: Dream Team. When discussing the ability to poke Luigi as he sleeps, Andrew is reminded of the time he and Izzy did the same thing to Worthington. A flashback is then shown of this happening, where Andrew realizes they have to start over as he forgot to plug him in. A siren then appears from a ? Block, meaning Reggie Fils-Aimé is calling. An untitled Ask Izzy segment is then played, followed by the Frizzy's Silly amiibo Theater segment: "Ain't No Party Like A Tom Nook Party!" Andrew and Jenna then encourage the viewer to look out for more episodes, like and subscribe, and visit the Play Nintendo website. The episode ends with the dance party.
