"Mario Party Star Rush Celebration!" is the tenth episode of The Play Nintendo Show on Play Nintendo's YouTube channel. This episode covers Mario Party: Star Rush.

Plot synopsis[edit]

Andrew Trego flies out of Izzy's warp pipe and introduces himself and Izzy. Andrew immediately notices the banners hanging around the Casa de Nintendo and asks Jenna why it looks like a party is taking place. Jenna says someone in the comments section suggested they threw a party, to which Andrew asks if the commenter was herself. The comment is shown to be from "Goomba Gamer", with Jenna's face as the profile picture reading "You and Izzy should throw a party!!!!!!!!". Jenna admits she was the commenter and begs Andrew to throw a party anyways. Andrew asks Jenna if their mother would be okay with this, which she is. Jenna celebrates and continues putting up the banners as Andrew hits a ? Block to reveal the topic of the "Andrew, Jenna and Izzy's Top 5" segment to be the top 5 bosses to face off against in Mario Party: Star Rush. Andrew and Jenna then scream, causing a crack to form on the screen.

For number 5, Izzy states he is the one managing the party food, and hopes the people attending will enjoy fried fly-covered number 5's. After performing their secret handshake, Andrew and Jenna reveal the pick to be King Bob-omb. After discussing his boss fight in the game, Jenna says she might have accidentally lit a confetti bomb, which Andrew is not concerned about until it explodes. After Jenna apologizes, Andrew pours the confetti still in the box on her head.

For number 4, Izzy blows up red and white balloons, with one of the white ones popping and flying across the room. Izzy says he needs to make more, and is thankful they are on the number 4 pick before another balloon pops. The pick is revealed to be Mega Monty Mole. After explaining the Monty Mole's boss fight, Andrew wonders what it would be like to have multiple of himself, to which two more Andrews appear. Jenna is excited about this, as this would mean more people to help out with the party, which all three Andrews are not excited about. Andrew says this would mean more people to play in multiplayer mode with, which interests the two other Andrews. Andrew thanks one of his clones as Jenna roles her eyes.

For number 3, Izzy sends out five invitations via his phone. Andrew responds to the invitations with "maybe", which is good enough for him. For this entry, Andrew tells Jenna that there is nothing to be afraid of on the entry, to which Jenna asks even if it is King Boo. King Boo is then seen moving in the hallway, which Andrew was not aware of. After Jenna explains the boss, a scared Andrew, hiding his head under pillows on the couch, asks if the explanation is finished, as King Boo continues to appear in the Casa de Nintendo.

For number 2, Izzy tunes an old radio to play music, which he considers a perfect cue for the next pick. Andrew tells Izzy that the boss chosen might be a distant relative of his. Izzy guesses the character to be either Randell, Marcus, or Terry, which were all incorrect, as the correct answer is Petey Piranha. When Andrew and Jenna explain Petey's boss fight, Jenna says to be careful about Koopa Shells flying the player's way. Andrew then gets hit by one, causing Jenna to remind him about the warning.

For number 1, Izzy is about to bite a red balloon, before stopping himself and stating the party planning is finished and that the party will be a "number 1". Jenna reveals the pick to be Bowser, as she pulls out a San-ei Co., Ltd. plush of him with a party hat. Andrew tells her to reveal Bowser's name in a lower voice rather than her usual voice. Jenna listens to Andrew before Izzy says Bowser's name in a lower pitched voice, making Andrew claim him the winner. After Bowser's fight is explained, Andrew wishes Worthington was as cool as Bowser's fight.

With the ranking concluded, Jenna asks the viewer what their picks would be by commenting. Andrew then contacts Reggie Fils-Aimé using his phone by texting him "Heeeeeeeeeey Reeeeeeggieee! Whaaaaat up? 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙". Jenna asks Andrew why he used so many hearts in his message, to which Andrew says it is because they are friends, which makes Izzy say Andrew never texts him any hearts. Reggie responds to Andrew's text by saying "Hello Andrew, it's me, the Regginator. Now's the perfect time for a party, because this week's game is Mario Party: Star Rush!" After the game is reviewed, Andrew crumples up the script and gives it to Jenna, who tosses it into Izzy's mouth. Andrew then encourages the viewer to visit the Play Nintendo website, with the "Mario Party Star Rush Printable Party Treat Flags" craft being shown. The doorbell rings, indicating the guests are here. After Andrew turns on a Nintendo 3DS, the party begins, with three Andrews, Izzy, Jenna, Worthington holding a screen with Reggie on it, Frizzy, and Terry attending.

Andrew then reads comments from the previous episode.

  • TheDewottGamer: "My favorite character in Paper Mario Color Splash is Huey because he's funny and awesome."
  • Jodee Rebecca Davey: "Call me Captain Obvious, But I'd Use The Paint Hammer to Paint my House"
  • K Scherer: "hi izzy"

When reading "Captain Obvious"'es comment, Andrew says he used the Paint Hammer once to paint his house into Izzy's colors, causing his mother to yell at him. When reading K Scherer's comment, Izzy says he and the user go all the way back to kindergarten, making a joke involving the end of the word sounding like "garden". The video ends with Izzy telling the viewer to like and subscribe.
