"Mario Party: Star Rush – Peek-a-Boo amiibo" is a video released on Play Nintendo's YouTube channel to promote Mario Party: Star Rush and its amiibo functionality.

Summary[edit]

In a room with dim lighting, Mario types out an email to Luigi complimenting him for creating the new Nintendo 2DS designs (referencing the "Luigi Runs the Nintendo 2DS Factory for a Day" video). Suddenly, the lights go out, and Mario notices a glowing Boo amiibo. Mario turns his head around and notices another Boo appearing on a television screen before the lights turn back on. Mario scratches his head, shrugs, and continues typing until the power goes out again. A Boo then appears on Mario's laptop, confusing him. Once the lights turn back on, Mario realizes the Boo amiibo that was once further away from him has moved closer. Right before Mario types again, he gets a call on the telephone. When Mario picks up the phone, a voice says, "We're sorry. Your call cannot be completed and dialed." before beeping. Mario notices the Boo amiibo, now right next to the laptop, causing Mario to drop the phone and get scared. The lights go out again, with the Boo amiibo glowing. The video ends with the Boo amiibo and Mario Party: Star Rush being advertised.
