"Nintendo Winter Scavenger Hunt For Kids" is the fourth episode of Scavenger Hunts for Kids on Play Nintendo's YouTube channel.

Plot synopsis

After claiming the weather is getting colder, the houses near her have more lights, and she had a lot of hot chocolate, Jordan states it is winter. She says her mother made her a winter-themed scavenger hunt that would make her search through her favorite Nintendo Switch games.

The first item on her list is a snowsuit, which she figures she can find in the Snow Kingdom from Super Mario Odyssey, where she says she will play around in the snow with Mario. She enters Shiveria Town and points out how everyone is wearing something warm, except Mario. She enters the Crazy Cap humming to the tune of Jingle Bells, claiming she has the song stuck in her head and can not remember what the song was. She purchases the Snow Hood and Snow Suit, and puts them on Mario immediately. She claims the suit makes Mario look "as sung as a bug in a rug", just like how her mother says. After crossing the suit off the list, she encourages the viewer to subscribe to the Play Nintendo channel as footage of the second episode is shown.

The next item on the list is to find the Bound Bowl Grand Prix minigame. She goes down the hole in the Shiveria Town and enters the Snowline Circuit. Sliding down the hole, Jordan says it looks like fun, and that Mario is sliding down like her and her brother. After finding a Pixel Cat Mario, she notices New Donkers and Shiverians. She throws Cappy onto the Shiverian Racer and captures it. After talking to the Shiverian Elder, she enters the minigame, claiming the race track looks fancier compared to what she and her brother do. While racing, she continues to sing the tune of Jingle Bells, with the lyrics: "Here we go, Mario, ba-ba-ba-ba-ba", claiming the song is catchy, and that she hopes to remember the song's name by the end of the episode. She wins the race and obtains the "Snowline Circuit Class S" Power Moon.

After making a joke about the way the Shiverians roll, the next item on the list is an "evil figure skater". Jordan says she skates on a frozen pond at a lake during her winter break, and has never encountered an evil figure skater yet. She decides to play Princess Peach: Showtime! to find one in the "A Snow Flower on Ice" stage. After commenting on the Dancer Theets, Jordan tells Princess Peach to stay away from the ice and stay on the snow. She then enters the venue and turns into Figure Skater Peach and wonders if she will turn into an elf, a snowman, or a snowflake. She then skates on the ice, dodging the bubbles and defeating members of the Sour Bunch. She also states that her brother is "graceful" on the ice. After running into some of the bubbles, joking how Peach is becoming to confident in herself, she encounters Yami no Top Skater. While fighting them, she compliments the music she hears in the background, but can not get Jingle Bells out if her head. She begins singing her lyrics before correcting herself as she is playing as Peach. After claiming she skates more like Yami no Top Skater than Peach, she continues to fight the figure skater and defeats it.

The next item on her list is an Ice Skate. She decides to look for one in Snowball Park in Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury. Once there, Jordan continues singing her rendition of Jingle Bells before stopping as she can not remember the rest. She eventually reaches a Skating Goomba and throws a Snowball at it. She then rides in the Ice Skate, wondering if she could ride one in real life.

After telling the viewer to keep watching to see the final item, Jordan reveals the next item: a snowboard. This prompts her to look for one in Super Mario Party Jamboree. She goes to the Rosalina's Radical Race minigame, where Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Daisy are riding snowboards. Jordan states that snowboarding is one of her favorite things to do during winter, even though she started learning how to snowboard recently. After Jordan makes some quips about the minigame, the video cuts to the end of the race, where Mario (being played by Jordan), wins.

The next items on the list are Shy Guys doing "winter things". Jordan comes to the conclusion that her mother is tricking her, as she can not think of any games where there are Shy Guys in a winter context. She rounds out various games: Princess Peach: Showtime! does not have any Shy Guys, and Mario Strikers: Battle League is "not very wintery". She then decides to play Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, where she goes to Mount Wario, playing as Wario, as she thinks there are Shy Guys there. She goes through some of the track, but can not find any Shy Guys. At the snowy forest part of the track, Jordan thinks the location reminds her of the woods near her grandparents' house, where instead of the race course, they have biking trails. On the third lap, Jordan notices two Shy Guys on the chair lift. She eventually notices more Shy Guys snowboarding and wins the race.

Jordan than announces the "last" thing on the list: a giant snowman. Jordan says building a snowman is on her top 5 favorite things to do in winter, and tells the viewer she made a Goomba out of snow the previous year. She begins playing Super Mario Bros. Wonder and goes to Outmaway Valley. She goes through the course, talking about the Outmaways, collecting a 10-flower coin, and other Flower coins. Eventually, the video cuts to Jordan reaching the ice block with the course's Wonder Flower underneath it. She collects the flower, triggering the stage's Wonder Effect. During the effect, she finds a big snowman upon the snowball, only growing bigger as the snowball rolls. Jordan then collects the Wonder Seed and declares the scavenger hunt complete, technically.

Jordan states that she wants to add one more thing to the list, as she remembered the lyrics to her rendition of Jingle Bells:

Here we go, Mario,
Throwing Spiny Shells.
Bowser crashed, at long last
Luigi needs some help.

Here we go, Mario,
I got a Wonder Flower.
Having fun in co-op mode.
Yes, I feel the power.

Jordan then encourages the viewer to visit the Play Nintendo website to create their holiday wish list. She says bye to the viewer continuing to sing her song.

Notable mistakes and errors

• When Jordan is looking through Mount Wario, Jordan claims to notice two Shy Guys on a chair lift. While there are other Shy Guys on screen, only one is visible on the chair lifts.

• In Outmaway Valley, Jordan says the ice blocks are coming towards her "fast and furious", referencing the film series of the same name.
