Results[edit]
- You got Action & adventure games
Action & adventure games usually have challenging puzzles, epic storylines, and characters both heroic and dastardly. These games are great for players who like to solve tough problems and keep their reflexes sharp. The Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD games are great games in the Action & Adventure category.
- You got Role-playing games
Role-playing games (also known as RPGs) let players jump into action in another world. For example, in the Miitopia game, you make your way through an unusual world while completing special tasks. There are usually a lot of words involved in RPGs, so they’re a good way to practice reading skills. The Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl games are great examples of Role-playing games!
- You got Competitive games
In this genre, players get to compete in races or sports. Whether you’re challenging friends in multiplayer mode or taking on computer-controlled characters, you’ll need focus and determination to win. The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate games are great examples of Competitive games.
- You got Simulation games
Simulation games (or “Sim” for short) let you play as different characters and discover a whole different world, whether that’s as an adventurer or a super-stylish fashion designer. It’s fun to create a world of your own! The Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Minecraft games are great examples of Simulation games.
- You got Party games
Woo-hoo! Party games are lots of fun, especially when you’re playing with friends or family. In party games, players work with others or compete against each other in minigames and more. The Mario Party Superstars and Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain games are both great examples of party games!
Each result is accompanied by an image showing Nintendo Switch games from the recommended genre.
