It’s another peaceful day at Princess Peach’s castle.

Luigi and Toad head to the castle’s attic to investigate a chilly draft.

Luigi is exploring a hole above the bookcase when Toad suddenly shouts for “heeelp!”

Eek! It’s a Scaredy Rat!

Luigi falls to the floor and then bumps into the bookcase, knocking down a big book.

What kind of book is it? A mysterious one, apparently!

Toad is suspicious of the mysterious book because it’s, you know, glowing.

Friends and enemies from the Paper Mario universe suddenly escape from the pages of the book!

They burst through the roof of the castle…

…and scatter across the land. It’s time for Mario, Luigi, and Paper Mario to team up and get those paper characters back into the book to restore order to the Mushroom Kingdom!
