"Nintendo - Mario Tanooki Trot Video" is a video published in Nintendo of America's official YouTube channel in 2011. The video is themed after Super Mario 3D Land, and features 100 people in San Diego, California dressed as Mario. Each Mario also has a tail and tanooki ears, thus being visually similar to Raccoon Mario.

Synopsis[edit]

Throughout the video, the Marios walk around the San Diego area, handing out flyers for Super Mario 3D Land and posing for pictures, both with other people and without. Near the middle of the video, a graphic of Mario sliding down a flag that quickly counts to 100 is shown, followed by fireworks in the background. After this, the video cuts back to the Marios. The Marios then crowd at the entrance to the NBC San Diego building as multiple people record them. The Marios then begin dancing. A few members of the crowd end up joining the Marios in their dance. Multiple people then high-five the Marios, and one of them waves goodbye.
