"Wii - Mario Party 9 Party Crashers" is a video published on the official Wii YouTube channel in 2012. The video shows three of the six winners of the Mario Party 9 Party Crashers Contest, all of whom are visited by two actors in full-body Mario and Luigi costumes as a result of winning the contest. The video also shows footage of Mario and Luigi traveling between parties.
Synopsis[edit]
The video starts with a graphic showing the locations of the parties that Mario and Luigi "crashed", in addition to text stating that Mario and Luigi crashed six parties to celebrate the release of Mario Party 9.
Following this is footage of the first party, which took place in New York, New York. Mario and Luigi walk in the door of the building in which the party is occurring, which causes the guests at the party to turn to the door. Mario hands the host of the party a Wii and a copy of Mario Party 9, which are wrapped together with a bow.
She states that it feels great to be chosen as the winner of the contest, and that she can't wait to "play on the new Wii". As she says this, footage of her taking a picture with Mario and Luigi is then shown, followed by the two giving a thumbs-up while standing by a television playing Mario Party 9. A man hands the woman a Wii Remote, and the group plays Mario Party 9.
The woman gives Mario and Luigi a hug, and then the video cuts to the two getting on a bus in Austin, Texas to travel to the next party. The video cuts to footage from the interior of the bus, during which Mario is standing and holding onto the handlebar and Luigi is sitting. The two get off the bus in front of the winner's house.
Following this, shots of Mario and Luigi standing with the winner and various party guests are shown. Inside the house, Mario hands the winner a Wii bundled with Wii Sports, in addition to a copy of Mario Party 9, which causes the other guests to cheer. Footage of Mario and Luigi leaving the house is then shown, in addition to various party guests.
The video then cuts to the winner standing outside of her house between Mario and Luigi, holding her gift. Mario and Luigi are both dancing. A group photo of all of the guests is then taken, with the winner, Mario, and Luigi in the center. The winner states that this is the "coolest birthday ever", and then gives Mario a high-five. The video then cuts to footage of Mario and Luigi getting on another bus in Boston, Massachusetts to go to the next party.
Footage from the inside of the bus is then shown. Red and green lights are shining on Mario and Luigi. Mario is holding the Wii with Mario Party 9, and Luigi points at it. Footage of Mario and Luigi getting off the bus is then shown, followed by Luigi going down a line of students of the school at which the party is being held and giving them each a high-five.
Following this is footage of Mario and Luigi walking down the school's hallways, and then ending up in the classroom in which the party is being held. Luigi waves to the students, and one of them gives him a high-five. The winner then enters the room and is handed the Wii with Mario Party 9 and raises it above his head, and says that it is not often that one gets to see Mario and Luigi come to the school and crash a party, followed by footage of his classmates clapping.
This is followed by a close-up shot of him raising the Wii above his head, followed by footage of him standing between Mario and Luigi, during which he says that he is awestruck. A photo of him raising the Wii above his head while standing between Mario and Luigi is shown. Both have their arms around his back, and Luigi is pointing to him. A shot of him standing between Mario and Luigi is then shown, with Mario and Luigi both doing what appears to be the "Hook 'em Horns" symbol with their hands.
