40 Questions for Charles Martinet is a series of videos published on the Nintendo Today! app as news pages for the Super Mario Bros. 40th Anniversary event. The videos feature former Mario/Luigi/Wario/Waluigi voice actor Charles Martinet answering questions, some of them having Martinet pick one of two answers. Each part in the series features ten questions. The first part was published on February 4, 2026.

Part 1[edit]

Question 1: How tall are you?

Martinet states he is six feet and three inches tall or around 1.96 meters.

Questions 2–7: Could you give us a few lines?

Martinet performs voice lines for Mario, Baby Mario, Luigi, Baby Luigi, Wario, and Waluigi.

Question 8: Which ability would you rather have?

This question features Jump and Dash as answers. Martinet picks Jump and asks if he can have Cappy too.

Question 9: Who would you rather travel with?

This question features Yoshi and Toad as answers. Martinet picks Yoshi, mentioning that he gets to ride everywhere and have more than one Yoshi.

Question 10: What's your most memorable Mario game?

Martinet answers by saying that all of them have a place in his heart and mentions Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, Super Mario Odyssey, the Mario Kart series, and Super Mario Galaxy.
