"Sights & Sounds – Unforgettable Summer with Super Mario Maker 2" is an ASMR video published on Nintendo of America's official YouTube channel in 2019. The beginning of the video states that the video is best experienced with headphones. The video follows an unnamed man who owns beachfront property as he goes about his day, in addition to playing Super Mario Maker 2.
Synopsis[edit]
The video begins with the man walking along the beach. He waves to two other beachgoers, and then walks up to the front of his house while carrying his sandals. He stands on the mat outside his front door and brushes the sand off his feet, enters his house, and sets his towel on his chair. A Nintendo Switch is shown on the table the chair is next to.
The man grabs a cup and adds ice to it from his refrigerator, opens a can of sparkling water, and pours it into the cup. He grabs his Nintendo Switch and the cup, walks to a couch overlooking the ocean, and sits down. He starts his Nintendo Switch and boots up Super Mario Maker 2, and then begins making an underwater level. He adds multiple Cheep Cheeps, a long Clear Pipe, and multiple Super Stars.
The video then cuts to a shot of the ocean and various boats. The man takes a sip of his drink, and then begins playing his level. The video briefly cuts away to a shot of a seagull flying over the beach, and then cuts back to the man playing his level. He waves to two other beachgoers, who go inside his house and talk with him.
Later in the day, the man sits down on his couch and starts playing Super Mario Maker 2 again, this time playing a different level. He flips off of a tree over multiply Stingbys, bouncing off one of them and landing on the top of the Goal Pole. The man chooses two tags for his course and then uploads it. The man then turns off the console, sets it on the table, and gets up from the couch. He then turns off the light.
