 - —Koopa General, The Super Mario Bros. Movie

The Koopa General (also known as the General Koopa)[1] is a supporting antagonist of The Super Mario Bros. Movie. He is a Koopa Paratroopa sporting a blue spiked shell, blue boots, a blue-plated gorget with shoulder guards, and a blue spiked helmet with Bowser's icon on it.
The Koopa General is the general of the Koopa Troop, and he is portrayed as much more stern and rigid than his soldiers. He is first seen guiding the Koopa Paratroopas as the army attacks the Snow Kingdom, and he is seen restraining the Penguin King after Kamek forces him and his subjects aside. The Koopa General is later seen with the Koopa Troop at the celebration of acquiring the Super Star on Bowser's airship, where he listens to Bowser's victory speech. Later, he interrupts Bowser and Kamek acting out the former's marriage proposal to Peach and informs him that the Kong army, joined by Peach and Mario, intends to surprise them by taking a shortcut via Rainbow Road.
The Koopa General guides the counter-offensive by riding a giant bulldozer with a wide maw and two Bill Blasters towards Mario. The bulldozer shoves both Koopa Troopa and Kong karts off the road, with the Koopa General seemingly focused entirely on defeating Mario by having the maw crush him and his kart. When Mario asks the team to split up before taking a side route alone, the Koopa General follows after Mario and is led away from the rest of the team. The Koopa General repeatedly snaps the maw shut but fails to catch Mario, as he stays ahead using Ultra-Mini Turbos and then leaps to a distant portion of the road. The Koopa General does not pursue Mario directly afterward, seemingly missing the chance to duplicate the jump, but instead has two more Bill Blasters appear from the bulldozer and uses those Bill Blasters to fire two Bullet Bills at Mario. This successfully destroys Mario's kart, but he escapes and eventually winds up hijacking a Pipe Frame from one of the Koopa Troopas. The Koopa General catches up with Mario, with the former's bulldozer back to having only two Bill Blasters, and he does snare the Pipe Frame with the maw. When the Koopa General sets the maw to crush the kart, Mario sneaks out onto the front of the maw. The Koopa General laughs in certainty of his success, and he is surprised when Mario climbs up and stomps him. Mario lands on Donkey Kong's kart, allowing Donkey Kong to blow up the Koopa General's bulldozer with a Rocket Barrel. As Mario and Donkey Kong drive away, the Koopa General emerges unharmed from the explosion. Enraged, he throws away his spear and helmet and retracts into his blue shell, then flies at Mario and Donkey Kong and explodes on them. The explosion damages Donkey Kong's kart and destroys the road, so he, Mario, and the kart plummet to the sea. Further, the gap in the road stops the Kong army from continuing, allowing Bowser's army to capture the Kong army. The Koopa General is not seen again for the rest of the film.
