Super Mario World marks the first appearance of "Vanilla Dome (Map Screen)". It returns for the same purpose in the port of the game included in Super Mario All-Stars + Super Mario World. It is also included in the official soundtrack album of the same name.
The Game Boy Advance remake of Super Mario World, Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2, contains its own arrangement of "Vanilla Dome (Map Screen)", which plays for the same purpose as in the original game. This arrangement replaces the bass sound with an orchestral hit, and the music box is transposed to a lower pitch.
Super Mario Maker 2[edit]
In Super Mario Maker 2, the original version of "Vanilla Dome (Map Screen)" plays in underground-themed worlds from the World Maker.
Super Mario World television series[edit]
In the Super Mario World television series, an arrangement of "Vanilla Dome (Map Screen)" can be heard in the episode "Fire Sale" when Mario, Luigi, Princess Toadstool, and Yoshi enter Kootie Pie Koopa's throne room. Additionally, an arrangement of the theme with more instruments plays in the episode "Gopher Bash" when the Cave People spill a well full of water.
Mario's Time Machine[edit]
In the SNES version of Mario's Time Machine, a mashup arrangement of "Vanilla Dome (Map Screen)" and "Castle BGM" from the same game plays during the title screen.
