Mario Party series[edit]

All Nintendo 64- and GameCube-era Mario Party games have an arrangement of "Coin", an echoed version of which is used for coin bags.

Super Smash Bros. series[edit]

In all Super Smash Bros. games, an arrangement of "Coin" plays when hitting with Mario's Super Jump Punch.

In the original Super Smash Bros., this sound also plays when a player is hit by Meowth's coins.

In Super Smash Bros. Melee, this sound is also used for end-of-match coins, as well as when spending coins in the Trophy Lottery.

In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, a higher-pitched version of this sound plays during the final hit of Super Jump Punch.

Mario Golf (Nintendo 64)[edit]

In Mario Golf for the Nintendo 64, the Mario Party version of the sound is used for Birdie Badges.

Paper Mario series[edit]

Paper Mario: Color Splash[edit]

A very slow, low-pitched, and echoing arrangement of the sound effect plays when Mario collects the giant Coin in Mondo Woods. In the Green Energy Plant, collecting coins will play the sound effect from Super Mario Bros. 3 instead.

Paper Mario: The Origami King[edit]

10-Coins and 100-Coins each make higher-pitched versions of the regular "Coin" sound when collected. If Mario has the Retro Soundbox equipped, collecting any coin will play the "Coin" sound from Super Mario Bros.
