It all started in November of 1988... the year my brother got Nintendo. i was 4. i was hooked. i was untouchable. Bubble Bobble, Zelda, Metroid, Castlevania, Mario, Kid Icarus... you name it, i tried it. I would play one and then it wouldn't be enough of a fix anymore. So i'd have to move on to another game. I tried the board game patch, but it just couldn't deliver the excitement i craved... no... I NEEDED! now, all these classic series from my childhood coming back out. Samus, Mario, Luigi, Link, the belmont brothers... they're all back. Only this time, they can be taken anywhere. I'm doing it at dinner, work, while driving. I CAN'T STOP!! I CAN'T GET THEM OUT OF MY HEAD!..... not that i ever want to.

The Most[sic] dangerous Nintendo game of all is Luigi's Mansion. It was so quiet, so unassuming, I didn't know it was coming. I rented Luigi's mansion[sic] for my GameCube around 4 or 5 months ago with a few other games. I tried the other titles right away and went to sleep. I woke up around 10 am the next morning and tried out Luigi's mansion[sic]. I had a great time until I got stuck on this ghost who didn't succumb to my flashlight. I was seconds away from "cheating" and looking at some walkthrough on the Internet when I figured it out for myself. I felt a warm tingle in my brain that went all the way down my spine. Smiling from ear to ear I said to myself, "this is the best game ever." I sat there from Saturday morning until late Saturday evening, opting not to go out with my friends to some lame bar and finish this adventure starring "Luigi". I beat the game before my roommates returned from the bar. Even though I beat the game in one day, I still liked it so much that I had to buy a copy. That was the beginning. Since then I have purchased a GBA, a GBA SP, a Nintendo DS. I have also acquired many games for all systems NES, super NES, and Nintendo 64. I now have an incurable desire to own everything to do with Mario and complete it. I memorize release dates check the website regularly, and the guys at the local video game store put the new Mario items aside for "The Nintendo Freak". I get angry when friends, students or co-workers try to argue X-box or Playstation is better. I always reply with "have you ever smiled while playing the playstation?" I'm almost 30, I've been playing Mario games since Mario Bros hit the arcade. I've had donkey kong watches and table top systems and I've owned several NES systems since I was 12. My fiancé tried to talk me out of buying the DS because we needed to save money for the wedding, but I told her that it was absolutely necessary. And even though I have Super Mario 64 there is still new content on the DS, so I need it. She's going to marry me anyhow, I think she'll tolerate my Nintendo addiction. I can't wait for the next original Mario adventure.

Thanks,

PS My Mario addiction will be fed on Dec 8th with Mario Party 6 (I have the other 5)
