The Capcom Times
The Capcom Times is an online mock newspaper containing information about Luigi's Mansion Arcade that is available from the game's official website. There were two different issues of the paper, with the first being published on June 23, 2015 and the second on March 17, 2016. The first issue of the newspaper treats the game's events as if they are actually occurring, while the second issue mostly focuses on an update to the game's controls.
First issue[edit]
- Disturbance in Ghost Valley!? Numerous sightings reported
- It seems a disturbance is occurring in Ghost Valley, where ghosts are supposed to live peacefully.
- Please take a look at the photo taken inside the Urame~shi Mansion by a special correspondent who risked their life. A green ghost appears to be playing a prank on a car. In addition, many reports have been received of ghostly mischief, such as “a ghost took the faucet from the water tap” and “while walking, a ghost pulled my leg and I fell.”
- Comment from Professor E. Gadd, ghost expert: “Feh feh feh… The ghosts of Ghost Valley have gentle personalities. They absolutely do not play pranks or attack people, so rest assured. Just in case, I plan to have my assistant investigate!”

Second issue[edit]
- Even first-time users can feel at ease! Simple controls newly introduced!
- According to Capcom’s announcement, it seems that simple controls will be implemented in an update around March 17, 2016.
- Simple controls are an easy control mode where you can suck in ghosts using either the strobe button or the lever.
- Whether you press the strobe button or grip the lever, it becomes a sequence of actions: “Strobe → Suction.”
- In the previous controls (so-called normal controls), you had to press the button to emit the strobe and then grip the lever,
but now you can suck in ghosts just by holding down (gripping) either one!
- Simple controls are recommended for children who lacked confidence in normal controls and avoided them.
