Mario's Ultimate Beach Party Sweepstakes was a contest held in 2002 by Best Buy in partnership with Nintendo. The contest was held from July 7, 2002 to July 31, 2002 at both bestbuy.com/mario and mariosbeachparty.com, though only the latter has been archived.

Details[edit]

To enter the contest, participants had to be over the age of 13 and residing in the United States. The exact details to enter the contest have been lost, though the alternative mentioned in the contest's rules states that participants could send Best Buy a postcard with their information via mail to enter as an alternative to the instructions on the site. Winners were randomly drawn on August 2, 2002, and were notified six days later.

Notes[edit]

  • Unlike most promotional websites themed after the Super Mario franchise, mariosbeachparty.com stayed up long past the end date of the contest. The page was still public by 2021,[1] though the site was taken down soon after.
