Crack open Yoshi’s next adventure! is an article published on the American Nintendo website. The article serves as an introduction to various aspects of Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, such as the story and moves the Yoshis can perform. On May 27, 2026, the article was then later published on the Australian/New Zealand Nintendo website, featuring the exact same text and images.[2]

- It was a lovely day, one like any other day Yoshi and his pals might enjoy...until a talking book, named Mr. E, fell from the sky! Whatever will they do?
- Looks like it’s time to find out in the Yoshi™ and the Mysterious Book game!

- Meet Mr. E
- Poor Mr. E took quite a wallop from his crash landing. While he usually has information about the mysterious creatures within his pages, he can’t quite remember any of it. Yoshi will need to dive into its pages to help recover Mr. E’s lost knowledge and get him back on the write track!
- Study the creatures
- Once Yoshi is transported into Mr. E’s pages, it’s time to wonder. If you see a creature, mosey on over to them! Yoshi has a few egg-cellent tricks he can toss out—sometimes literally!
- Yoshi’s got the moves
- Throwing Eggs: You gobbled a creature and it turned into an egg—now what? Throw it, of course! Aim at where you want to chuck it and then let loose!
- Flutter Jump and Ground Pound: If you want to get a bit more air time, you can hold down the A Button to help Yoshi Flutter Jump. Want to quickly go down? Just hit down on the Left Stick to Ground Pound.
- Tail Flick: Put creatures or objects on Yoshi’s back with a flick of the tail. Hit the X Button again to see what happens.
- Sprint: Move for a while in the same direction to break into a Sprint. If you’ve got a passenger on Yoshi’s back, they may even react!
- Observe: Sometimes it’s good to hang back and watch how creatures behave. Duck by using the Left Stick to hide behind nearby foliage and stay out of sight.
- Once you discover a creature, try experimenting to find everything there is to know about them. If you don’t get all their info at first, that’s okay! You’re sure to discover even more as you explore each chapter.
