Croakaokes[1] are creatures that appear in Yoshi and the Mysterious Book. They are squat, duck-like creatures that sport leaves on their heads. A Yoshi can jump on a Croakaoke, which causes it to sing a musical note that is then added to an on-screen staff while allowing itself to reach higher places. Croakaokes appear in different colors, with each color representing a musical note.
Naming[edit]
"Croakaoke" is a portmanteau of "croak" and "karaoke".
