- “As you may have guessed from the title, this isle is well and truly remote. That is to say, it appears all by itself, surrounded by the sea in all directions. Isles such as this are home to many creatures with mysterious behaviors.”
- —Mr. E
Remote Isle is the sixth chapter in Yoshi and the Mysterious Book. It is unlocked by having 218 ★. It takes place on a historical version of Yoshi's Island, although this connection is not made explicit by the game. Likewise, many of the creatures studied in the chapter originate from Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island; additionally, Jam Guys resemble the Spear Guys and Dancing Spear Guys from the aforementioned game, while Jetty Jellies resemble the aforementioned game's jellyfish.
Completing the Remote Isle makes the game credits roll for the first time while also unlocking the next four chapters of the main story. By completing the chapter, Mr. E also unlocks the ability to create Exploration Tools by having the player exchange five Smiley Flowers for one tool.
Chapter page[edit]
The chapter page for Remote Isle features an isle with four large, snow-capped mountains and a waterfall. A large hut serving as a Jam Guy's house is seen next to a lagoon with palm trees. A Goonie is seen flying in the sky while two Huffin Puffin children are seen playing in the background. A Jetty Jelly is hiding behind the rock in front of the isle while a Lunge Fish's eyes can be seen poking out of the lake.
After completing the Goonie Habitat, the two Huffin Puffin children tag along with the Goonie when it flies near them, making the Huffin Puffin parent pursue them.
After completing the Huffin Puffin Habitat, the Huffin Puffin parent and its children run close to a small rock in front of the isle, making the Jetty Jelly jump out from behind it.
After completing the Jetty Jelly Habitat, the Jetty Jelly flies off towards the lagoon but bounces on the emerging Lunge Fish's head.
After completing the Lunge Fish Habitat, the Lunge Fish jumps out of the lagoon to crush the nearby hut, forcing the Jam Guy to run outside while the Lunge Fish returns to its habitat.
After completing the Jam Guy Habitat, a Jam Guy quartet play a song, luring a juvenile Bewilder Bird from behind the mountains before it flies around the isle.
