Glubbits[1] are creatures that appear in Yoshi and the Mysterious Book. They are green, ranine creatures with a hoop-shaped mouth, reminiscent of bubble wands. Glubbits blow out bubbles from their mouths, trapping anything upon contact. Glubbits who eat an apple will belch out yellow, bigger bubbles, while Glubbits who eat a turnip will belch out a heart-shaped bubble that can trap one or two of anything. However, Glubbits covered in mud will belch out brown, muddy bubbles that slowly fall downward. If a Yoshi eats a Glubbit, it will not only produce an egg, but also spit out a bubble. A Yoshi can have a Glubbit ride on its back, enabling it to belch out bubbles while ridden. One area features a Glubbit stuck in a tree, which a Yoshi can rescue with an egg.
