Settled Valley is the fourth chapter in Yoshi and the Mysterious Book. It is unlocked by having 114 ★. It takes place in a rural area with several wooden structures, inspired by satoyama; the traditional Japanese term for a managed rural border zone between foothills and arable flatland.
Chapter page[edit]
The chapter page for Settled Valley features an area with a small hut, a tree with a Detonut chute[conjectural], and an entrance to an underground area. A fenced patch of watermelon grows in the background, with a Bugya hiding behind one of the watermelons and a Little Mouser hiding behind one of the fence posts. A Loopdeecoop stands upon the hut, while a red Shy Guy roams between the hut and the underground area's entrance. The tail of a Hauger pokes out from behind the entrance to the underground area.
After completing Loopdeecoop Habitat, the Detonut chute activates, causing Detonuts to start to fall onto the Loopdeecoop. They bounce onto the ground, where they shortly roll before exploding. In addition, the Shy Guy stops roaming, instead staying still at the entrance to the hut.
After completing Shy Guy Abode, several Shy Guys of a variety of colors appear. A green Shy Guy attempts to collect a watermelon; however, the Bugya takes over another watermelon and shoots seeds at the Shy Guy, scaring the latter away. After completing Bugya Habitat, a Little Mouser steals a watermelon being carried by an orange Shy Guy.
After completing Little Mouser Nest, the Hauger charges towards stacked crates, revealing itself.
