Casterway Habitat is the third level of Chapter 3: Seaside in Yoshi and the Mysterious Book. The level is centered around swimming on the surface, using a Casterway to fish up creatures and items such as magnets and tokens under the water, where Yoshi cannot otherwise access. Some objects can be reeled in above the surface, notably Winged Clouds. The main goal of the level is to catch the biggest fish in the habitat, which is the catfish-like whopper. Other creatures that appear in the habitat are Croakaokes. When Yoshi starts the level, Yoshi needs to reel in the big fish stuck in the rocks to drain the water, access more areas of the level and catch more fish.

An alternate version of the level featuring Bafloonders is unlocked after this level and Bafloonder Habitat are cleared.

Discoveries

Casterway Habitat contains four Smiley Flowers and thirty-seven stars. Two stars are in the alternate, Bafloonder variant of the level.

"Catching the big fish drained the water."	★	Reel in the fish blocking the rock formation on the left part of the level. This drains the water, allowing Yoshi to proceed to the left area and is required for Yoshi to continue through the level's objective.
"Smiley Flower fished from a shell."	★	Catch the level's third Smiley Flower inside a clam shell in the left area of the level, next to another Casterway.
"Caught a fish."	★	Catch a fish.
"Full-bodied flavor!"	★	Lick up a Casterway.
"Caught every Upshoot!"	★	Yank all the Upshoots off the pond floor. They are located near the level's second Smiley Flower.
"Great haul!"	★	Reel in multiple fish with a single cast.
"Hooked a magnet."	★	Obtain a magnet. It is found as a red dome stuck in the sand in the right area of the level.
"Tidied up some rubbish."	★	Hook up discarded cans of trash in the level by using the magnet.
"Caught 10 fish!"	★	Catch ten fish.
"It retreated into its shell."	★	Ground Pound a Casterway.
"Smiley Flower fished out of the mud."	★	Fish up the level's first Smiley Flower from the mud puddle on the top of the area where a big fish is stuck.
"Little hut on the lily pad."	★	On the far right of the area, reel and drag a Croakaoke to the right platform above tokens in the shape of a fish, where Yoshi can use it as a platform to reach the little hut on the top.
"Fished a Smiley Flower out of a Winged Cloud."	★	Either use the Casterway's fishing rod to catch the Winged Cloud or consume the Casterway on top of the little hut and create an egg to hit the Winged Cloud with, left of the hut. This is the level's fourth Smiley Flower.
"Fish can't resist apples."	★	Use an apple as bait to catch fish.
"Worked with the Croakaoke."	★	Bounce off the Croakaoke.
"The hat suits it well."	★	Catch the hat below the hut on the current near the tokens in the shape of a fish and return it to a hatless Casterway.
"Hooked some driftwood."	★	Get the line stuck on driftwood in the area where the fast fish is.
"Became the one that got away."	★	Catch and carry a Bafloonder in the alternate variant of the level and get hooked by a Casterway, then escape from the line by using the Bafloonder's air puff ability.
"Caught a beautiful fish."	★★	Catch a golden, arowana-like fish. It is located in the left area after the player has unstuck a fish from the rock.
"Caught a fast fish."	★★	Catch a fast green marlin. It swims about near the level's second Smiley Flower, near a school of small fish, and has the most resistance out of all the large fish.
"Reeled in a big one!"	★★	Catch a large, purple fish, located on the right area of the level.
"Fished the tokens out of the current."	★★	Reeled in all the tokens arranged in a fish shape in the current in the far right area of the level underneath the hut.
"Caught every fish!"	★★	Catch all fish in the habitat.
"Tidied up all the rubbish!"	★★	Cleaned up all the discarded cans in the habitat with the magnet.
"Croakaoke invited to the hut."	★★	Reel in the Croakaoke into the Casterway hut on the far right area of the level.
"Caught the Bafloonder!"	★★	Catch the Bafloonder in the alternate version of the level. They attempt to quickly resist the line by puffing air, so Yoshi needs to deny them access to air bubbles that replenish their air in order to catch them.
"Caught a real whopper!"	★★★	Catch the catfish-like whopper, which is biggest fish in the level. It lounges in the far bottom right corner of the level with its head poking out. This fish is capable of breaking the fishing line and is warned by the line flashing red.

	Inside a Winged Cloud where the Casterway hut is, on the far right area of the stage. Yoshi must reel in a Croakaoke to access this hut, and then either use the Casterway's fishing rod to catch the Winged Cloud or consume the Casterway to produce an egg to hit the Winged Cloud.
