“These pages detail creatures that live their lives underground... I suspect there are a multitude of mysteries to unearth in this subterranean realm!”
—Mr. E

Underground is the seventh chapter in Yoshi and the Mysterious Book. It is unlocked by having 285 ★ and completing the Bewilder Bird Habitat in Remote Isle. It takes place in a desert with a series of underground caves.

Chapter page[edit]

The chapter page for Underground features a desert with a series of underground caves. An Underbit is seen burrowing through the sand near the surface while a Tumball is walking in a tunnel. A boulder is found near the Tumball's tunnel. Meanwhile, a Billeau's gaseous body lays dormant in the largest cave seen on the page.

After completing the Tumball Habitat, the Tumball curls into a ball and rolls fast to break the nearby boulder, revealing a Wiggaline.

After completing the Wiggaline Habitat, the Wiggaline streches out to grab and pull a tree root in a nearby cave, revealing a Goopsie that clings to the ceiling.

After completing the Underbit Habitat, the Underbit digs deeper into the sand and enters the Billeau's body, making its eyes appear. The Underbit turns purple and exits the Billeau's body to land on the ground nearby.

After completing the Billeau Habitat, the Underbit digs back upwards to the surface, leaving a trail of gas behind it which makes the Billeau follow it only to stop short of emerging from the sand. With the cavern now empty, the Crudwurm appears from the depths.
