Part 1[edit]

  • February 28 (Friday)
I'll be writing a diary starting today. I'll be talking mostly about games, so look forward to it!
Moving straight to the topic of games, I bought Metroid Prime, which was just released today!
I've completed all the Metroid games from the Famicom Disk System to the Game Boy, Super Famicom, and Game Boy Advance, but I was a little surprised to see that Metroid Prime is a 3D game. It's so realistic, it's exciting just to look at it!
But the atmosphere is the same as the other games in the series.
It's strange.
  • Saturday, March 1st
I'm playing Prime, which I bought yesterday. The graphics are very realistic, and the sound production also helps to create a sense of realism.
Samus is so cool!
  • March 2 (Sun)
Today we all gathered at my house and had a Puzzle Collection tournament!
We played Dr. Mario, Yoshi's Cookie, and Panel de Pon, and decided who came in first place.
Orbulon said it was his first time playing, but I was surprised at how strong he was. As expected of someone with an IQ of 300.
But of course, the overall winner was me!
Games that everyone can play together and have fun are great, aren't they?
  • Monday, March 3rd
I go to Diamond City Elementary School by skateboard. I can't play Game Boy while riding a skateboard, after all.
Maybe I'll ask Crygor to modify it to autopilot.
  • March 4th (Tuesday)
Today I played Metroid Fusion.
It's fun because there's a wide variety of actions, and the more you play the more you play, the more puzzles you solve! It's a challenging game, but you can choose the difficulty level, so it can be enjoyed by a wide range of players, from beginners to advanced players. That's impressive!
It seems there are some hidden elements, so I'll have to keep trying!
  • Wednesday, March 5th
Today I invited Kat and Ana over for a Mario Kart Advance battle.
It's something I never get bored of, no matter how many times I play it.
At first, I was winning by a landslide, but then Kat and Ana teamed up and started attacking me, which made it really tough.
So I added Shaggy and we played 2-on-2, but Shaggy's not very good, so he kept throwing shells at me by mistake, and I ended up losing badly...
  • March 6th (Thursday)
Today I traded Pokémon with Mona.
I was happy to get some Pokèmon I didn't have, but Mona's Pokémon have weird names like "Dumpling" and "Pig Blossom" and I don't like that...
  • Saturday, March 8th
Wario invited us all to go for a barbecue.
We all brought our favorite food.
I like Nintendo, so I brought Super Mushrooms (which are just regular mushrooms, after all). The barbecue was great, but Wario ate almost everything by himself, so we all only had sweets. Afterwards, Wario looked like he was in pain, so I wonder if he's okay? Jimmy's outdoor on-stage performance in the evening was a blast. I wish I could have participated as a DJ too. I'm going to sleep in a tent tonight while listening to "Koe no Tayorau Namima made." I brought my Game Boy Advance too, so I think we'll all play against each other now!
  • March 9th (Sun)
It was really cold this morning. You really shouldn't pitch a tent and sleep on the beach in March. Wario's making crazy plans, too.
Actually, Wario's been acting a little weird this morning... he's suddenly started talking like a smart guy. I wonder what's wrong?
Ana seems to have caught a cold. Poor thing.
But spring is almost here. Diamond City Park will be filled with cherry blossoms. I'm looking forward to it.
  • March 10th (Monday)
It's raining today. It was hard to ride my skateboard to school.
It continued to rain all afternoon, so I just played games when I got home.
I played Wave Race Blue Storm for the first time in a while.
This game is difficult at first, but once you get used to the controls, it's a very exhilarating game.
I love the feeling of racing on the ocean! Especially racing on a stormy day, with the waves raging and the rain making it hard to see, it's super thrilling!
If you haven't played it yet, you should definitely give it a try.
  • March 11 (Tuesday)
When I saw an article about the GameCube version of "F-ZERO" in a magazine, I couldn't wait any longer and played the N64 version of "F-ZERO X."
The F-ZERO series is my favorite racing game (though Mario Kart is my favorite for group play). The overwhelming sense of speed is irresistible!
The N64 version was appealing with its three-dimensional courses and racing against numerous rivals, but I wonder how the GameCube version will turn out? I'm so excited!
I'll watch the official website's video again!
  • Wednesday, March 12th
I had the honor of DJing at Club Sato today! Jimmy danced to the Nintendo background music (club version) that I arranged. I was very happy with the collaboration between my DJing and Jimmy's dancing! Jimmy is such a good dancer. And on my way home, I got a ringtone. It was a song I didn't really understand, but it really conveyed Jimmy's personality.
  • March 13th (Thursday)
Today is my mom's birthday.
So I gave her the Game Boy Advance SP that Wario gave me!
She loves games too, so she was really happy.
I wonder if she'll buy me another game now?
  • March 14th (Friday)
Today is the release date of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and Four Swords!
I bought it and started playing!
First, I played A Link to the Past, a masterpiece among masterpieces.
I beat the Super Nintendo version three or four times, and it's still fun no matter how many times I play it.
The puzzles are hard to solve, but the music when you solve them is so satisfying!
Next, I played Four Swords! ...I thought I would, but it seems you can't play it alone!
So I got Kat, Ana, and Shaggy to buy it too, and we played as a group of four.
It's an action game where you all work together to solve puzzles and defeat enemies, but Shaggy is really bad at it, and instead of helping out he just got in the way, so it was hard to get any progress.
But for some reason, Shaggy had the most coins. Why?
  • Saturday, March 15th
I've pre-ordered WarioWare!
It's a game I made, so I'm looking forward to it being released! There will be lots of Nintendo games coming out, so look forward to it!
I worked hard on it, so I hope it sells well.
  • March 16th (Sunday)
My dad is a firefighter. Did you know?
There was a disaster prevention drill at Diamond City Park today, so I went with him.
First, he showed me how to put out a fire with a fire extinguisher.
Then I put out a fire with the fire extinguisher myself!
It was fun putting out fires, but it's no fun when you actually have to use a fire extinguisher. I need to learn how to use a fire extinguisher properly in an emergency.
  • Monday, March 17th
My skateboard was modified by Crygor so that it can skate in the air without wheels, but for some reason it's been acting up since yesterday, and I almost got late for school today. So I took it to Crygor on the way home from school, and he fixed it right away! What a great guy!
  • March 18 (Tuesday)
I went for a walk with Shaggy today. It's been awhile since we last talked, but as usual, he was just being nasty.
A year ago, I found him on the side of the road and made him my pet, but I wonder what he is really like?
  • Wednesday, March 19th
Today, I saw Orbulon walking around by himself, so I called out to him and we came over to my house to play.
He was really interested in Nintendo's rare toy, the "Custom Gunman Ray Gun," and played with it like a kid all day. I wonder if there are any toys like this on Orbulon's planet?
  • March 20th (Thursday)
Apparently Wario is going to take us to space!
It sounds so fun! It's spring break from school so I think I'll go!
I'll take Shaggy with me too!

Part 2[edit]

  • April 15th (Tuesday)
My space trip ended in a flash! Just getting out into space and then it's over isn't a trip!
I wanted to see more of the universe, but apparently there's something wrong with the spaceship. Oh no.
...Huh? Isn't today March 21st...?
  • Wednesday, April 16th
I popped into a toy store and saw that "WarioWare" was released!! Is today April 16th?!
There was no point in preordering it...
I went home and played it straight away! My favorite genre is still the Nintendo games I made, but Mona's weird games are fun too!
...Huh?! Shaggy is in Mona's game!! Why?!
  • April 17th (Thursday)
Shaggy was making a cake today. Apparently it was for a friend's birthday. While stirring the ingredients, he was grumbling, “The peaks aren’t forming at all!” Can Shaggy really make a cake?
...But who is his friend?
  • April 18th (Friday)
Today I invited Kat and Ana over to play WarioWare.
It's fun to watch someone play alone.
Even if they mess up, we can all laugh together.
Oh, and I asked Kat, and she told me that for some reason Shaggy was also in the game she made!
Kat was surprised, saying, "I've never heard of a game like this!!"
Don't tell me... Shaggy made it...?
  • Saturday, April 19th
I asked Shaggy about his appearance in Kat and Mona's game.
He simply said, "I don't know anything about that."
Hmm, but it seems suspicious...
  • April 20th (Sunday)
Today I was playing "WarioWare" by myself.
When I play alone, I focus on completing the game encyclopedia! I'm only three pieces away from completing it, but those three just won't come out.
So I'm just going to keep playing!
  • Monday, April 21st
Kat and Ana invited me to jump rope today. They were swinging the rope and I was jumping, but the rope started to get faster and faster, which made me a bit nervous.
The rope also got faster and slower halfway through...
I wonder what kind of jump rope they teach in kindergarten...?
  • April 22 (Tuesday)
I practiced skateboard tricks for the first time in a while.
I've only been riding my skateboard to school recently, so my skills have gotten a bit rusty.
I really need to keep practicing.
Oh, and now that I think about it, I've been slacking off on my DJ practice too.
It's tough because you have less free time when you're at school.
Elementary school kids are so busy.
  • April 23 (Wednesday)
Impressions from people who played WarioWare were received from Dribble, and I read them together with Kat and Ana.
There were many people who wrote that they liked my genre the most, so I was really happy! As expected, everyone loves Nintendo!
  • April 24th (Thursday)
Today we had a roundtable discussion with the members who made "WarioWare."
It was fun to hear all the behind-the-scenes stories! It seems like everyone had a lot of secrets planned.
By the way, when did Shaggy make the game...?
  • April 25th (Friday)
This is sudden, but I've decided to stop writing my diary today.
I wanted to tell everyone more about the great things about Nintendo games, but I was having a hard time because I had so many things I wanted to do.
Of course I want to play games, and I also want to practice skateboarding and DJing, but I also have to do my homework.
It's good to have things you want to do, isn't it?
It's cool to work hard at what you want to do, and sometimes those things can become dreams and goals.
That's why I've decided to do whatever I want to do when I want to.
Sometimes I have to give up things to achieve them, but that can't be helped. I'll be saying goodbye to everyone for a while, but please keep an eye on me!
...Oh! Today was the release date for GIFTPIA and Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword! I have to hurry up and buy them!
See you again!
