Remix

A remix is a stage in the WarioWare series that compiles microgames from some of the previous stages. Typically, each WarioWare game's story features two remixes: one near the midway point, and one before the story's final stage. As such, the first remix contains microgames from nearly all the stages from the first half of the game (excluding those from the Intro Games stage), while the second remix contains microgames from the stages of the second half of the game, but no microgames from stages encountered before the first remix. Much like regular story stages, remixes contain boss microgames which need to be beaten in order to clear the stage when played for the first time. The microgames in these stages typically start at level 2 in difficulty, whereas a regular stage starts with level 1.
Prior to WarioWare: D.I.Y., it is hosted by Jimmy T, his folks or Jimmy P. In WarioWare Gold and WarioWare: Move It!, the remixes are hosted by the characters who hosted the stages from which the included microgames originated. In WarioWare: Get It Together!, the remixes are high-pitched (aside from the boss stage) during high score runs.
History[edit]
WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$![edit]
WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$! features Remix No. 1 and Remix No. 2, both hosted by Jimmy T, albeit in different-colored wigs. Remix No. 1, which has Jimmy in a yellow wig, features microgames in the Sports, Sci-Fi, Strange, and Nintendo Classics genres (created by himself, Dribble & Spitz, Mona, and 9-Volt respectively), while Remix No. 2, which has Jimmy in a red wig, features microgames in the IQ, Reality, and Nature genres (created by Orbulon, Dr. Crygor, and Kat & Ana respectively). Both remixes feature Punch-Out as the boss game.
WarioWare: Twisted![edit]
WarioWare: Twisted! is the only game in the series thus far that contains only one remix: Family Scramble, hosted by Papa T. and Mama T. It is encountered around the midway point of the game's story, and contains microgames by Mona, Jimmy T. and Kat & Ana.
WarioWare: Touched![edit]
WarioWare: Touched! features remixes hosted by Jimmy's siblings, Jamie T. and James T. Jamie's Mix is encountered after clearing the first third of the game's story and features microgames by Wario, Mona and Jimmy T. James's Mix is unlocked after clearing the second third of the story and features microgames by Kat & Ana, Ashley & Red, and Dr. Crygor.
WarioWare: Smooth Moves[edit]
In WarioWare: Smooth Moves, the remixes are hosted by Jimmy T. and the similar-looking Jimmy P. Jimmy T's remix features microgames by Mona, Kat & Ana, and Young Cricket & Master Mantis, while Jimmy P's remix features microgames by Ashley & Red, Dribble & Spitz, Penny, and 9-Volt & 18-Volt.
WarioWare: D.I.Y. / WarioWare: D.I.Y. Showcase[edit]
WarioWare: D.I.Y. and WarioWare: D.I.Y. Showcase features several Shuffle stages as their equivalent to the remixes. in WarioWare: D.I.Y., Diamond Software: Shuffle features pre-built microgames of Diamond Software from the Strange, Sports, Food, IQ and Nintendo genres (made by Mona, Jimmy T, Ashley, Orbulon, and 9-Volt respectively), and is unlocked once all of those have been encountered. Upon clearing 30 points, the player also unlocks Diamond Software: Ultra Hard!, which features the same sets of microgames, but at high speed, not unlike the Super Hard stages in other games. Naturally, WarioWare: D.I.Y. also features Shuffle stages that mixes all of the player' own microgames in the same ways, titled D.I.Y. Mix: Shuffle and D.I.Y. Mix: Ultra Hard!, respectively
While WarioWare: D.I.Y. Showcase still features D.I.Y. Mix: Shuffle D.I.Y. Mix: Ultra Hard!, Diamond Software: Shuffle and Diamond Software: Ultra Hard! are respectively replaced with Wario-Man Software: Shuffle and Wario-Man Software: Ultra Hard!, featuring pre-built microgames of Wario-Man Software by Wario-Man, Dribble & Spitz, Kat & Ana, and 18-Volt.
WarioWare Gold[edit]
In WarioWare Gold, unlike previous entries, both remixes are encountered near the end of the game's story, in the Ultra League. Also unlike prior entries, the remixes are hosted by groups of characters whose stages are represented, rather than only Jimmy T, his folks, or similar characters. The Dancing Team (consisting of Jimmy T, Mona, Dr. Crygor, Penny, Kat & Ana, and Young Cricket & Master Mantis) hosts the first remix, which contains microgames of all control types in the Sports and That's Life genres, while the Potluck Gang (consisting of Dribble & Spitz, 5-Volt, Ashley & Red, 18-Volt, 9-Volt, and Orbulon) host the second remix, which also contains microgames of all control types, but in the Fantasy and Nintendo Classics genres. Both remixes also contain original microgames of the Pop-Up and Mic genres, represented by Fronk and Mike, respectively.
WarioWare: Get It Together![edit]
WarioWare: Get It Together! features Remix and Remix 2.0 as its remix stages. These remixes are not hosted by anyone in particular; however, the remixes have Mike and 5-Volt as their respective highlight character upon playing these stages for the first time. Remix features microgames from the That's Life, Fantasy, High Tech, and Nintendo Classics genres, while Remix 2.0 features microgames from the Nature, Sports, Food, and Culture genres.
WarioWare: Move It![edit]
Much like in WarioWare Gold, the remixes in WarioWare: Move It! are hosted by the characters which microgames are being featured. Remix 1 contains microgames by Mona, Crygor, Penny & Mike, Ashley & Red, and Orbulon, while Remix 2 contains microgames by Kat & Ana, Cricket & Mantis, Jimmy T, Dribble & Spitz, and 9-Volt.
