Switching Gears
Switching Gears is a game mode in WarioWare: Move It!. It is a two-player mode hosted by Kat & Ana that involves a player playing microgames while another tries to keep the screen open.
Gameplay[edit]
Players alternate between playing microgames and operating the contraption. The contraption is operated in one of three methods:
- Assuming the Choo Choo form and pumping the hands up and down alternately
- Assuming the Sky Stretch form and pumping the hands up and down alternately
- Assuming the Massage form and pumping the hands up and down simultaneously
The player operating the contraption is shown a brief tutorial animation before each method change. Gameplay starts at level 1 and the speed constantly increases with each round. After every third round, the contraption method changes; after every sixth round, the players change roles and the speed is reset. The difficulty increases to level 2 after 12 rounds, then to level 3 after 24 rounds. From round 36 onwards, the speed continuously increases. The game ends when all four lives are lost.
In-game description[edit]
"It's us, Kat and Ana! This is your chance to take turns. While one person is playing, the other uses the contraption to make the games easier to see. Try it with your family or friends!"
