Cruise Controls is a Challenge mode in WarioWare Gold. It is hosted by Dribble, and involves playing fifteen microgames as fast as possible while manipulating the overall speed of gameplay. Only Mash microgames appear in this mode. Cruise Controls is unlocked after playing Wario Interrupts at least once.

Gameplay[edit]

The transition between microgames

The object is to clear fifteen microgames as fast as possible. The speed of gameplay is manually adjusted by the player: tilting the Nintendo 3DS up increases the speed while tilting the system down decreases it. The speed of the microgames continues to change in response to the tilt of the system even when the game is paused and on the results screen. The Speed Gauge does not update while the game is paused.

The intermission consists of Dribble's taxi in a race against black cars. The number of lives is represented by hanging Dribble dolls. If the player wins, a rainbow appears and the taxi speeds ahead to another set of black cars. If the player loses, a thunderstorm appears, the taxi falls back, and a Dribble doll falls. Additionally, ten seconds of penalty time is added to the elapsed time. If the player passes the final microgame, the taxi surges ahead of the black cars and crosses the finish line. If the player loses their last life before the final microgame, the taxi falls behind the black cars, spins out, and skids off the bottom of the screen.

The difficulty increases to Level 2 after 5 rounds, then to Level 3 after 10 rounds.
