Super Mario Land Maruhi Jōhō is an article published on the official Japanese website for Super Mario Land. The article contains tips about the Game Boy game. This article is one of the few pieces of original media created for a website on a game released for the Game Boy; most Game Boy and Super Famicom websites simply contain one page of basic information about the game.
Content[edit]
On the website, each entry is shown as a bullet point marked with a red ★. The final line of the article is written in red.
- ★ In places where there is a one‑block gap, you won’t fall if you run while holding the (B) button.
- ★ Under some of the pipes scattered around, treasure rooms are hidden. Stand on top of a pipe and press down on the D‑pad to check it out.
- ★ Try hitting places that look like there’s nothing there. Coins or blocks may pop out from unexpected spots—there are lots of secrets.
- ★ Defeating enemies consecutively gives you a high score.
- ★ Each coin is worth 100 points. If you collect 100 coins, not only do you get points, Mario gains an extra life.
- ★ Breaking one block gives you 50 points. Try hitting blocks in various places.
- ★ In certain worlds, Mario will encounter secret mechanisms such as floors that collapse when he steps on them, or poisonous‑spike floors that kill him on contact.

- ★ If you defeat Tatanga and successfully rescue Princess Daisy, then press a button after the ending, the mushroom cursor on the title screen changes to a Mario cursor, and a hidden world full of enemies begins.
- Pressing A, B, Start, and Select at the same time will reset the game.
