"Las brigadas rosas" is a one-page comic that appeared in the Mexican magazine Club Nintendo in the August 1992 edition (Year 1, Issue no. 9). This comic consists of 12 panels; the first 11 are illustrated, while the last one is blank so the reader can draw the ending if they want to.[1]
The comic is also an advertisement for Bubblets, a chewing gum brand that was owned by Adams (currently Cadbury) until its discontinuation in the late 2000s.
Plot synopsis[edit]
The comic begins with three children trying communication by radio from the Bubblets's station. The children were tense because they could not get in touch with Bubbletín, an alien traveling aboard his intergalactic spaceship. In a region not far away in the galaxy, Bubbletín was also trying to communicate with those children, and he had finished an inspection round and was preparing to return to Earth. After many attempts, Bubbletín and the children were able to establish communication.
Bubbletín announces to the children that he is approaching a new world of Bubblets flavors and that he is not traveling alone. The children are incredulous, especially when they learn that Mario is traveling with Bubbletín along with a fleet of 48 collectible decals. Mario explains to the children that his mission is to take over all the notebooks, books, and backpacks of every child on Earth, while at the Bubblets's station they were already locating Mario's presence inside the wrappers of those chewing gums.

Notes[edit]
- Even though Mario appears in the comic, he is mistakenly called "Super Mario Bros." despite Luigi not appearing along him and with Bubbletín.
