Super Mario Hiraite Dāre da!? is a folding board book released on September 11, 2014 to Japanese subscribers of the Club Nintendo rewards program.[1] Each right flap of the book contains a folded flap, which can be unfolded to reveal the image underneath the flap.
Plot synopsis[edit]
The first two flaps feature a Warp Pipe with Mario's cap poking out of it, with the book asking the reader who is hiding in the pipe. Unfolding the flap on the right reveals the character to be Mario, who jumps out of the pipe as the book says that the reader found him.
The next two flaps feature a ? Block and a Brick Block, with the book asking the reader what is hidden inside of these blocks. Unfolding the flap on the right reveals a Super Mushroom to have been inside of the ? Block and a Coin to have been inside the Brick Block, with the book saying that they found a Super Mushroom and a Coin.
The next two flaps feature Mario standing next to a Yoshi's Egg, with the book asking the reader who he is close friends with. Unfolding the flap on the right reveals this to be Yoshi, with Mario riding his saddle as the book says that the reader found him.
The next two flaps feature Yoshi, who is sticking his tongue towards a Apple, asking the reader what Yoshi's favorite food is. Unfolding the flap on the right reveals it to be Apples, with Yoshi now holding the Apple as the book says that the reader found an Apple.
The next two flaps feature Toad looking at a Boo turned away from him, with a butterfly flying between the two. Turning the flap on the right shows Toad having looked away from the Boo, with it now facing him as the book wonders if the reader found it.
The next two flaps feature Bowser in his Koopa Clown Car holding Princess Peach captive, with the book asking the reader who will save her. Unfolding the flap on the right reveals this to be Mario, who is holding Peach in hands as he and Toad run away from Bowser.
The last two flaps feature Mario and many recurring characters in the Super Mario franchise, including Bowser Jr., a Goomba, a Koopa Troopa, a Piranha Plant, and a Lakitu, as well as a Super Star.
