supermariofrubes.com (simply titled frubes on the tab title) was a website that hosted a contest themed around the Super Mario franchise. On the website, one would enter a code found on the inside of a Frubes package to see if they won a prize. The first place prize included a Nintendo 2DS and the following Super Mario games: New Super Mario Bros. 2, Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Party: Island Tour. The second place prizes included the Nintendo 2DS and Mario Kart 7, as well as a Mario–themed gym bag and the runner-up prizes included the aforementioned gym bag as well as a minifigure, a sticker sheet featuring multiple Super Mario characters, a key ring based on Mario's cap, a Mario hat also based on the aforementioned cap and a stationery set. The prizes could be won by one person, ten people and 200 people respectively. The promotion lasted from October 1, 2014 to April 30, 2015,[1] although the website's homepage and its general links appeared to remain up until September 2024.[2]
Super Mario Activity Sheet[edit]
Super Mario Activity Sheet is a series of near-identical printable activities featuring Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach and Bowser and could be accessed even if the participant did not win any of the prizes listed above. The activities consist of a word search, a picture of the corresponding character meant to be colored in, a game in which the player has to associate the silhouettes with the characters' names and a maze, most of which were modified accordingly to fit with the respective character. At the bottom of both pages in the activity sheets, an advertisement for New Super Mario Bros. 2 and the Nintendo 2DS is present.
