Made in Wario 〜 Wario Company no Homepage 〜 is a website published in 2003 by Nintendo of Japan to promote WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$! In addition to pages about the game itself, the website also hosts separate pages that were supposedly maintained by the employees of WarioWare, Inc., each of which included an online diary, a profile page, and various activities. The website appears to have stopped receiving updates on April 25, 2003.[2]
Contents[edit]
Main page[edit]
The website's main page features links to each employee's webpage, as well as links to a page detailing updates to the site, a page featuring details about WarioWare, Inc., a page about Wario and his role as the company's president, and a sub-section of the site containing details about the game itself. Said page contains a pop-up detailing information about Wario Himitsu Book, a book provided with copies of the game.
The page also links to another page which features details about microgames, which also provides links to two .WMV files. A separate page also features images of all 200 microgames appearing in the game. Another page details how the game is very easy to understand and can be played anywhere, while another shows images of WarioWare, Inc.'s employees and links to another .WMV file.
The homepage was later updated to feature a link to the official Japanese website for Wario Land: Shake It!
Wario‑sama no "Dai Tensai Page"[edit]
Wario's webpage is heavily themed around poop. It contains links to various sections, the first of which lists a series of ways to play WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Mircogame$! The first way listed is "VS Score Attack", in which players choose a theme and compete for the highest score, and then announce their scores at school the following morning.
The second way listed is "Thrill Score Attack", in which each player plays a certain game at the same time with their own Game Boy Advance. The third way listed is "Survival Bomber", in which all players use a single Game Boy Advance and pass it to the next player upon clearing a microgame. If a player fails a microgame, they are eliminated from the challenge. The last player to successfully complete a microgame is the winner.
The fourth way listed is "Survival Bomber 2", which is done with the Game Boy Player. It functions identically to Survival Bomber, but players pass around a Nintendo GameCube Controller instead of a Game Boy Advance. The fifth way listed is "Cooperative Mode", in which multiple players play at the same time using the Game Boy Player. The sixth and final way listed is "High Tension Rope", in which players are to take turns jumping in the Jump Forever minigame.
Additionally, Wario's webpage contains links to his diary—which is provided in two parts, his profile page, a crossword puzzle (the answer to which is provided in the final entry of his diary), and a hidden ringtone macjine hidden in the bottom-right corner of the crossword puzzle's page.
Jimmy T. no "Afro Night★Fever"[edit]
Jimmy T's webpage contains a ringtone collection, which functions as a port of the Sound Room from Wario Land 4 in the form of a flip phone. It also contains Jimmy T's profile page, as well as his diary. As with all of the other diaries, Jimmy T's diary is written in two parts.
9-Volt no "It's Nintendo"[edit]
9-Volt's webpage is themed around products released by Nintendo. The page contains a section featuring images and descriptions of old Nintendo products, as well as a report on an "infiltration" of the headquarters of Nintendo of Japan. Said section was published in three parts. The final image shown in each part is blurred as a teaser for the following part.
The page also features a roundtable discussion with the employees of WarioWare, Inc. and an unnamed interviewer, which is also mentioned in Wario's diary. As with all of the other pages, 9-Volt's webpage features a diary published in two parts, as well as a profile page. A separate introduction page for Fronk is also available, which features a section in which users can press a button to have Fronk say different phrases.
Mona no "Hanazukushi"[edit]
Mona's webpage is themed around noses. It features a fortune-telling section, in which Mona will tell the user's fortune based on which nose they choose from a grid. It also features a section in which Mona provides a different word to users each week, provided in both Japanese and English. Mona also provides the meaning to each word.
As with the other pages, Mona's webpage also features a profile page, as well as a diary. As with the other diaries, it was published in two parts.
Dribble to Spitz no "Taxi Jinsei"[edit]
Dribble & Spitz's webpage is themed around their job as taxi drivers. It features a map of Diamond City, which shows the name of each location in the city if the user hovers over it. The page also features an Adobe Flash-based section featuring a photograph of a beach said to be Floating Voices, in addition to the sounds of the ocean. As with the other pages, their page features a profile and a diary, which Dribble and Spitz took turns writing in. Said diary was published in two parts.
Dr. Crygor no "Himitsu Kenkyūjo"[edit]
Dr. Crygor's webpage features a series of sections containing graphics describing modified vehicles Dr. Crygor has designed for the employees of WarioWare, Inc., specifically Dribble's taxi, the Wario Car, Mona's scooter and 9-Volt's skateboard. Each vehicle is shown as a three-dimensional model, though the Wario Car appears to be a photograph of an actual miniature car. While most of the vehicles are shown intact throughout the section, Dribble's taxi is shown deconstructed to illustrate some of the internal features.
Like the site's other sections, Dr. Crygor's webpage also features a profile page, which is stated to be a research report on himself. A diary is also available, which was published in two parts like the others. Said diary is said to be Dr. Crygor's "research log".
Orbulon no "ΨξゞΨщ∥"[edit]
Orbulon's section contains an HTML-based browser game titled Orbulon no Nipongo no Benkyō in which the player is to help Orbulon learn katakana. The site also contains a treasure map, which Orbulon states will lead to buried treasure. He states that the map is "too easy" for him, so he is yet to solve it. The webpage also contains a code for users to decipher, which states that there is a hidden page at the bottom-right of Wario's crossword page when solved.
Like the other sections, Orbulon's webpage features a diary, which is said to be his "report" on his life on Earth. This diary was published in two parts, like the diaries in the other sections. His page also features a profile.
Kat to Ana no "Ikimono Daisuki!"[edit]
Kat & Ana's webpage is themed heavily around animals. Their page features a section featuring pictures of various animals, which was published in three parts. Each picture also features a description. Like the other pages, their page also features a profile, as well as a diary, which Kat and Ana took turns writing in.
