Gold frogs[1] are a variant of frog in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. They behave exactly like regular frogs, except they reward Luigi with multiple Gold Bars if he uses the Strobulb on them, and they are very rare to encounter. A Gold frog can be encountered in Doggone Key, where only one appears in the tree located at the Haunted Towers Entrance. Three gold frogs can also be found on the East Balcony of the Treacherous Mansion during the mission A Train to Catch. To reach them, Luigi needs to enter from the Jungle Exhibit's upper area.
