Variant of Spider

Gold spiders[1] are enemies in the Luigi's Mansion series. They behave exactly like regular spiders, except they yield a greater amount of treasure when defeated.

History[edit]

Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon[edit]

Gold spiders make their debut in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. They can often be found after certain pieces of furniture are inspected, and tend to disappear if ignored for too long. If Luigi uses the Strobulb on a gold spider, it drops one Gold Bar. Gold spiders usually appear in groups of two to three.

Luigi's Mansion 3[edit]

Gold spiders reappear in Luigi's Mansion 3, behaving similarly to how they did in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, with one difference being that, when defeated, regardless of the method used, they drop Gold Bars as well as coins.
