Pests[1] are a category of animals that appear as weak enemies in the Luigi's Mansion series. Like ghosts, they can be defeated with the Poltergust. They replace the small ghosts from the original Luigi's Mansion.

Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon / Luigi's Mansion 2 HD[edit]
Pests make their first proper appearance in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. The mouse and bat, which first appeared as ghosts in Luigi's Mansion, are redesigned as pests in this game. Spiders, frogs, crows, and beetles are also introduced. Pests can be defeated with the Strobulb or by vacuuming them up. When defeated with the Strobulb, grounded pests drop coins and flying pests drop bills. Golden variants of pests also exist, and they drop large amounts of money. Fuzzballs and Robombs are also similar to pests.
Luigi's Mansion 3[edit]
Mice, bats, spiders, and crows reappear in Luigi's Mansion 3. Snakes and piranhas also make their debut in this game. Most pests now always drop money when defeated, regardless of the method used. Defeating 500 pests awards the player an achievement.
