The Bank Space is a special space found first in Mario Party 2. It is almost always next to the Koopa Bank. If a player passes this space, the player pays 5 coins to the Bank. If a player has less than 5 coins, the bank will take it all anyway. If a player lands on this space, the player gains all the coins from the bank deposit.

Mario Party 2Edit

Bank Spaces first appear in Mario Party 2, found on all boards. In most boards, the Bank Space makes passing players pay 5 coins to the bank (taking all coins if the player has less than 5 coins), and gives all deposited coins to any player that lands on the space. In Bowser Land, the Bank Space has a unique function. Here, players are given a five coin loan from the Bowser Bank each time they pass the Bank Space, which accumulates as more and more players pass it. Anyone who lands on the Bank Space must pay back the Bowser Bank the entire loan; should they have no coins, they will instead lose a Star. Even if the player who lands on the space cannot afford the loan, it resets to 0.

Mario Party 3Edit

Bank Spaces return in Mario Party 3, functioning identically to how they do in the previous game. However, if a player switches with another player that is on a Bank Space via a Warp Block, the player that used the warp block would be able to withdraw all the coins in the bank as if they landed on it, then they would be able to roll the dice. In addition, a special item, the Koopa Kard, can be used to get all the coins from the bank deposit if a player passes the space.

Mario Party 5Edit

In Mario Party 5, the Bank Space is no longer part of the board itself, instead being one of the spaces that can be placed by players, via a Koopa Bank Capsule. The space still works the same, only it can be done anywhere on the board. If a player uses the Capsule on themselves, they can collect all of the deposited coins, as if they had landed on the space.
