| Effect | Landing on a space activates Chance Time. |
The Chance Capsule is a capsule that only appears in Mario Party 5. It can be thrown to a space on the board, or used on the player for twenty coins. Whoever lands on a space with a Chance Capsule gets to play Chance Time. If the player used the capsule on themselves, they will be included in Chance Time automatically and is placed on the left hand side of the trade. The majority of the trades that appear during the Chance Time heavily favor the player on the left hand side of the trade, likely due to the fact this capsule costs 20 coins for a player to use on themselves.
