The Coin Box is an item from Mario Party. This is the first item given when the game begins. Its purpose is to store coins and Stars that players acquire at the end of a board game (or Mini-Game Stadium). They are similar to Casino Boxes and Lucky Boxes. However, only human-controlled players will have their coins and Stars stored at the end of the board game.
In Mario Party 2, coins and Stars are now collected from all players at the end of the game regardless if they're CPU are not, and collected Stars are converted into coins; 50 coins per Star. Additionally, if the player maxes out the Coin Box's capacity at 99,999 coins, the player receives a secret message from the developers upon checking it.[1]
