DK Gun is a machine part used in the Super Duel Mode in Mario Party 5. It is unlocked for purchase after defeating Donkey Kong in the Hard Competition mode. The DK Gun resembles a stout barrel with Donkey Kong's icon on it, with palm tree leaves and a banana bunch on top. With a very low fire rate, it fires slow-moving exploding bananas that detonate at a medium range. The projectiles are powerful, taking away two full hearts if they hit an opponent. As a trade-off, however, the gun is among the heaviest and lowers the vehicle's speed by a large amount. It forms a set alongside the DK Body, DK Tires and DK Engine, all of which are used in Donkey Kong's "Banana Bot" machine during Battle Competitions. Since the machine the NPC DK drives in is typically very fast, with maxed out stats, DK's vehicle is not affected by the speed penalty the DK Gun provides, though the machine significantly loses momentum when time passes.
