- “An ocean - a mysterious ocean floating in the clear blue sky. Listen to this track and feel the tropical breeze.”
- —Liner notes in the Super Mario Galaxy Original Soundtrack
"Beach Bowl Galaxy"[1][2] is a musical theme composed by Mahito Yokota for Super Mario Galaxy, where it plays in Loopdeeloop Galaxy, the galaxy of the same name, Loopdeeswoop Galaxy, and Sea Slide Galaxy.
History[edit]
Super Mario Galaxy[edit]
Super Mario Galaxy marks the first appearance of "Beach Bowl Galaxy".
A simpler, more subdued arrangement of "Beach Bowl Galaxy" plays whenever the player is underwater in both Beach Bowl Galaxy and Sea Slide Galaxy. It is titled "Beach Bowl Galaxy - Undersea" in the Nintendo Music app and the official Super Mario Galaxy Original Soundtrack album. Additional percussion layers are added to both themes whenever the player holds a shell.
Both "Beach Bowl Galaxy" and "Beach Bowl Galaxy - Undersea", along with their remixes, return in the Nintendo Switch ports, Super Mario 3D All-Stars and Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2, for the same purposes. The former is also included in the official The 30th Anniversary Super Mario Bros. Music album.
