"Mushroom BGM"[1] is a musical theme composed by Junichi Masuda for Yoshi, where it is one of three selectable themes that can play during gameplay, the other two being "Flower BGM" and "Star BGM".

The Nintendo Entertainment System version of Yoshi marks the first appearance of "Mushroom BGM".

In the Game Boy version of Yoshi, an arrangement of "Mushroom BGM" plays for the same purpose as in the NES version.

Super Mario Compact Disco[edit]

The Super Mario Compact Disco album features a hip hop remix of "Mushroom BGM" arranged by Simon Harris. It is titled "Mario & Yoshi". This remix also samples "Player Down" from Super Mario Bros. at the end.

Super Mario Compact Disco – 35th Anniversary Edition features a remastered version of "Mario & Yoshi" titled "Mario & Yoshi [Remastered]".
