The teeter-totter moon,[1] also known as the Seesaw Moon,[2] is a type of seesaw resembling a crescent moon that appears in Super Mario Galaxy 2. The teeter-totter moon appears only in Boo Moon Galaxy, where it acts as a planet. It appears in all missions in the background, but it is interactable upon the player's leaving the Sinking Swamp planet in "Silver Stars Pop-Up". When Mario (or Luigi) lands on the teeter-totter moon, five yellow Star Chips appear on it; the player needs to collect the Star Chips using the seesaw properties of the teeter-totter moon without falling off the corners to form a Launch Star that serves as the gateway to the Rise Picture Book Planet. The teeter-totter moon also appears in the end credits of the game with a red Luma, a blue Luma, and a yellow Luma floating above it.
