Green platforms[1] are solid platforms in New Super Mario Bros. They appear exclusively in World 4-
Castle during the boss battle with the Mega Goomba. When Mario (or Luigi) activates the ? Switch in the middle of the room, two green platforms appear, one on either side. He can then step on a platform, causing it to rise up and giving him a chance to jump off and ground-pound the Mega Goomba's head. When the ? Switch's effect wears off, the green platforms disappear until Mario hits it again.
