Gear
The location of a Power Moon in Super Mario Odyssey
Appears in Super Mario Odyssey (2017)

Gears, also referred to as gear steps, are solid platforms in Super Mario Odyssey. They appear in the Luncheon Kingdom, only in the sub-area containing the "Stepping Over the Gears" and "Lanterns on the Gear Steps" Power Moons. Each gear has four blades that rotate counterclockwise at the same time, though they stop for a brief moment at regular intervals. Gears appear with other gears above them, connected by a pole, which extends to lava below.

Two sets of gears appear in the aformentioned sub-area: one with two gears and another one with three gears.
