"Game Start"[1] is a musical jingle composed by Hirokazu Tanaka for Wrecking Crew, where it plays at the start of every phase (sans the bonus stages).

Wrecking Crew '98[edit]
In Wrecking Crew '98, a chiptune arrangement of "Game Start" is featured in the game's port of Wrecking Crew, where it plays for the same purpose as in the original game.

Super Smash Bros. series[edit]
Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS[edit]
In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, a medley of the original versions of "Game Start", "Phase BGM", "Phase Clear", "Bonus Phase", "Golden Hammer", and "Game Over" from Wrecking Crew can play in the Duck Hunt stage. It is titled the "Wrecking Crew Retro Medley" in the game's sound test.
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U[edit]
In Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, a medley arrangement of "Game Start", "Phase BGM", "Bonus Phase", and "Golden Hammer" from Wrecking Crew arranged by Manabu Namiki can play in the Wrecking Crew stage. It is titled the "Wrecking Crew Medley" in the game's sound test. The "Wrecking Crew Retro Medley" from Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS also returns and can play in the same stage.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate[edit]
In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the "Wrecking Crew Medley" from Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and the "Wrecking Crew Retro Medley" from Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS can play in any Super Smash Bros.-series and "Other"-series stage. The former medley is titled "Wrecking Crew Medley (for 3DS / Wii U)" in the game's sound test.

In Super Mario Maker, the beginning percussion of "Game Start" plays when transforming into Costume Mario with the Foreman Spike costume.
