The Academy Courts are a group of nine playable courts in Mario Tennis Fever. Each court has a different surface, with the Wood, Brick and Carpet courts being available from the start, and the Mushroom, Sand and Ice courts being unlocked upon being admitted to the tennis academy in the game's Adventure mode. The Grass, Hard and Clay courts are exclusive to online matches. The Academy Courts are located in the Mushroom Tennis Academy, where they can be found grouped together in sets of three: One row has the Carpet, Clay and Ice courts, another has the Wood, Grass and Sand courts, and the last row has the Mushroom, Hard and Brick courts. Each court is separated by green fences, with various brands being advertised on banners on them. Lamp posts and Mushroom, Fire Flower and Super Star-shaped lights also decorate the area.

In-game description[edit]

  • Wood Court: "Soft wood offers decent speed and balanced bounce. Demands focus."
  • Brick Court: "Hard brick provides high bounce. Use topspin to try for an ace!"
  • Carpet Court: "Soft carpeting provides solid speed and balanced bounce."
  • Mushroom Court: "Springy mushroom gives the ball an erratic bounce. Counter the bounce with flat shots."
  • Sand Court: "Sandy terrain not good for speed or bounce. Concentrate on drop shots to score!"
  • Ice Court: "Hard and slick ice makes it difficult to move around. Try not to slip."
