Waluigi's Pinball Arcade is a tennis court in Mario Tennis Fever, inspired by Waluigi Pinball, specifically its design from Mario Kart Tour and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. It is unlocked by completing a Pinball Match and has average ball speed and low bounce strength. The court takes place indoors, and is made up of a glossy purple material with yellow markings. It is surrounded by a black-and-white checkerboard floor, and around it are several neon lights and panels with sponsors, as well as giant coins and a giant statue of Waluigi. Large red supports snake above the court, with metal balls occasionally rolling through them. The court's net is black and made of metal, with a black pipe at its center. There are no spectators in this court, with a Red Toad acting as the judge and Lakitu catching balls on the net.
Pinball Match[edit]
The Pinball Match is a type of Special Match played only on the Waluigi's Pinball Arcade. During the match, each side of the court gains five bumpers which are initially deactivated in the floor. If a ball hits a bumper, it briefly activates, causing the ball to bounce higher. While activated, players can also get knocked around by the bumpers. Balls can bounce on multiple bumpers on one side of the court without scoring a point. The ball only counts as out once it touches the regular floor.
During a point, two bumpers on both sides of the court gain glowing purple holes on top of them. If a player lands the ball in one of them, it causes every bumper on the opponent's side to be activated. A ball is then launched from the central pipe back into play. This also lights up one stage on the panels and the pipe on that player's side. After one player lights up all three stages on their side, the match enters a bonus mode in which a few changes occur: All bumpers from both sides are removed from play; The side of the player who activated it gains extra walls and flippers that prevent balls from easily leaving the court; The pipe at the center of the court begins rapidly launching balls, alternating sides; While in this mode points scored do not stop the game, meaning multiple points can be scored in quick succession.
