Effect Flame Shot

The Flame Racket is a Fever Racket in Mario Tennis Fever. It is available from the start. The racket has a red, orange and yellow color scheme, with a decoration shaped like a fireball on its shaft and a Lava Bubble emblem on its net. When fully charged, the racket is set on fire.

In Trial Towers, the Flame Racket appears in the Tower of Growth's "Return Fire" trial as the opponent Mario's racket. It also appears in the Tower of Trickery's "Super Toad" trial as the player's racket.

Fever Shot[edit]

The Flame Racket's Fever Shot is called the Flame Shot. When used, it creates a large flaming obstacle on the court, which then splits into four smaller chunks spread around where it lands. Players catch fire if they touch them, which causes them to dash aimlessly uncontrollably for a few seconds. Players on fire run faster than normal and can still swing their racket.

Adventure Mode[edit]

The Flame Racket first appears in Mario Tennis Fever's Adventure mode on the hands of Baby Wario and Baby Waluigi who use them in a tennis match against Baby Mario and Baby Luigi after they leave the Mushroom Tennis Academy on board of Princess Peach's airship. During the course of the match, the Flame Racket sets fire to various parts of the airship, which Baby Mario must then put out. Later, after Baby Mario and Baby Luigi fight off Bowser's Airship, the Flame Racket is unlocked for use in the Adventure mode.

The Flame Racket must then be used to fight the Ice Chomp boss in the Ice Ruins area.
