The Mini Mario Widget[2] is a promotional desktop widget published by Nintendo on the official website for the Mario vs. Donkey Kong series in 2006.

Features[edit]

Once activated, the Mini-Mario will drop from the sky and land on an open window. The Mini-Mario will then walk back and forth on the window, and eventually jump off of it. Occasionally it will play a "dizzy" animation once it lands, though usually it does not seem fazed by the large drop. The Mini will then continue walking back and forth on the taskbar, and eventually walk towards and enter a Warp Pipe that always loads with the Mini. The user can use their mouse to drag the Mini wherever they'd like, and the Mini will look directly at the user throughout this process. Occasionally, the Mini will look at the user for no apparent reason. The Mini will also look at the user if they hover their mouse over it. If the user hovers their mouse over the mini and then moves the mouse directly behind the Mini, the Mini will begin to walk in the opposite direction.
